The CTE Follies had a fabulous first night! We had a great lineup of talented people doing entertaining things. If you are not familiar with our annual season kick-off show, here’s how it works:

  • CTE consorts with talented people from our community to put together a show.
  • It is, by nature, loosely structured, off the cuff and really flexible
  • The performers always ask, “What do you want me to do?” and we always answer, “Whatever you want to do.”
  • When you come you’ll see:
    • Seasoned performers
    • First time performers
    • Combinations of the two
  • There are multiple goals:
    • Entertain the Audience.
    • Boost the awareness and membership in Community Theatre of Emporia.
    • Allow our current membership the opportunity to renew.
    • Have a great time doing the above!
    • Preserve and enhance the Arts Community

We are happy to report that things went great and we met most of our goals. We really wanted to see more of you members there. We’ll see you tomorrow. Right?

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

We’d really like to thank the following individuals and organizations for their support.

Reeble, Inc. for the space to perform.
Sherman and Dean, Attorneys at Law for a fabulous spread at intermission
Plumb Place, Inc. for the chairs
Lyon County Historical Society for more chairs
Danny C Boyce, Technology Consultant for lights, sound and music
Tonya and her talented daughters for the wonderful cookies

Gayle Whitsitt, Jessica Whitsitt, Audra Jenkins, Mark Sherman,
Jim Tefelski, Pat Sutton, and Dan Boyce
for stepping up to prepare the space for the performance

And last, but far from least, the performers who donated
their time and talent to make this go so well.
