It’s 1950-something, and Kaye, Peggy and Donna, three singing sisters from Muncie, Indiana are coming home for the holidays.

If you are looking for a nostalgic, classic hometown Christmas the way it used to be, then you need to mark your calendars now for Community Theatre of Emporia’s production of A Taffeta Christmas. Tune into the Dupont Television Network as the endearing Taffeta sisters present their first annual Christmas Hometown Hoedown Special! It’s Christmas in Muncie, Indiana in the 1950’s and this is a classic hometown Christmas celebration, the way it used to be.

You will be really feeling the spirit of the season with musical favorites like, White Christmas, Christmas Around the World, and O Holy Night. We have a terrific cast including, Amanda Mayer, Cassy Huff, and Brianne Simon. Directed by Jeremiah Devine and his able assistant Scott Swezey.

Rick Lewis is the creator/author/musical arranger of the hit Off-Broadway musical, The Taffetas, which premiered at the Cherry Lane Theatre and subsequently moved to the Village Gate, with productions currently around the world. Television appearances include 48 Hours, CBS This Morning, Entertainment Tonight, PM Magazine, and Live! with Regis and Kathy Lee. With The Taffetas he was featured in People Magazine, Time Magazine selected The Taffetas as ‘Critics Choice’ for four consecutive weeks. He was nominated for a Jefferson Award For Outstanding Musical Direction for his work on the Chicago production of The Taffetas.
