The agenda will include the usual awards, election of board members (call for nominations is open), overview of the past and future season, and tasty treats for all. If you are already a member or would like to join in, we would be positively giddy if you would attend.

We have yet to determine the exact location where the event will be held so stay tuned. We’ll be sending out announcements by e-mail and postcard, as well as posting the details here. If you would like to be notified, go to our contact page and drop us a line.

We hope to see you there. (wherever there turns out to be)

Thank you to everyone who attended one of our Holiday Road Show presentations. We had a great time and so did everyone else.

The players, Joel Vannocker, Jim Stukey, Audra Jenkins, Mark Sherman, Russell McMurray, and Dan Boyce really brought Hank and his crew to life.  We look forward to doing more of the same.

One Act Wonders

Tennessee Williams can compress hours of drama into a very short time. His ability (andOctober One Acts this is his claim to fame) to present a character, a real character, whole and complete without preamble or preface is phenomenal.

When you come to our presentation of two of his one act plays, you’ll see.

Click on the poster to see a larger version.

October 25th, 26th, & 27th we are presenting not two, but three one acts. Two from the deservedly revered Tennessee Williams and one from the equally worthy James Thurber for a lighter touch (you’ll laugh).

We’ll be at 2705 W Highway 50, right next to Price Chopper here in Emporia. Come spend the evening with us, you’ll be glad you did.

The Great Seat Robbery at Americus Days: Granny LeCompton calls for a vote

Thanks to the wonderful folks in Americus and all that attended their annual celebration of their town’s founding. They really know how to throw a party. They should, they’ve been practicing for 150 years.

The Great Seat Robbery, the melodramatic and slightly less than completely historical account of how Lyon County Kansas came to be, penned by Scott Rochat was well received. We had a great time producing the show and it showed.

We’ll see what we can do for the 151st.

Americus is celebrating their 150th anniversary on Saturday October 6th! It will be a full day of fun, activities, and entertainment for the whole family. The Great Seat Robbery

We’ll be there with the locals performing The Great Seat Robbery, a melodrama penned by Scott Rochat recounting the sad and sordid story of the relocation of the Lyon County Seat from Americus to Emporia. It’s a somewhat mostly historically accurate tale of covetousness, jealousy, greed, graft, heroism, and villainy.

You know, all of the fun stuff.
