Jaquelyn Logan, Nancy Boyce, & Tonya Starr have ‘Fidgety Feet’ at the Salute to Gershwin Dinner Theatre ProductionWhat a great time was had by all at the Emporia Country Club’s Dinner Theatre! The food was superb, and the Salute to Gershwin was really well received.

Many thanks to Larry Shell, Sara, Anita, Mike and the rest of the staff at the Country Club for their time, effort and attention to detail that made these evenings so very special. Thanks to everyone who could attend for supporting Community Theatre in Emporia, we have a great time entertaining you. We hope that we can do this again next year.

We’ll be putting more pictures of the event up in our gallery soon, so check back often.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at the Mid Summer Fair coming in August to Peter Pan Park (more about that coming soon).

CTE on the Move

Lots of StuffSaturday and Sunday the 24th and 25th of March were the days designated to move all of CTE’s stuff out of the EAC and into storage. Regettably, we were unable to secure a new space for the theatre on such short notice.

We were actually done by 5pm on the 25th to the amazement of all parties. We would like to thank the following people for their able and enthusiastic help in this daunting task.

  • Jim and Rita Scribner, Our Special Friend, and Joe Tholen for their valuable insights into what belonged to whom
  • Fred Spellman of Plumbing by Spellman, Inc. for providing a place to take the majority of the sets, materials, and equipment.
  • Dan Snyder for his enthusiastic participation and contributions of truck and towing
  • Mark and Karen Haag for their help in ‘deconstruction’ of the risers and the use of their trailer
  • Dick Winter and Winter Furniture for the use of their large van
  • Judy and John Rice for Judy’s helping hands, their big ol’ flatbed truck and their van on the moving days
  • Mark Sherman for his help, his garage, his insights and his guidance
  • Gayle Whitsitt for her assistance, spare office storage, entertaining anecdotes and sudden bursts of song
  • Audra, Trevor, Deb, Corey, Scott, Tom, Rickey, Jason, Darrin, Adam, Belle, and all the usual suspects for their semi-tireless efforts
